Enhancing Collaboration and Efficiency

Building Information Modelling, or ‘BIM,’ is a collaborative approach facilitated by various digital technologies and organizational methods. It involves creating and managing information about built assets, such as buildings, bridges, plants, or storage facilities.

Implementing BIM enhances communication among project team members, clients, and supply chain partners, ensuring a high level of design coordination. This leads to more efficient processes for designing, constructing, and maintaining buildings and infrastructure.

What's the deal with LOD levels?

BIM's Level of Detail (LOD) acts as a standard, setting out the 3D geometry requirements for various projects and needs. Beginning with a very simple representation at LOD 100, it progresses to as-built elements at LOD 500. LOD plays a vital role in improving productive communication and aiding a quicker decision-making process by specifying information at different stages of a construction project.
